Bara Bhangal trek is the only trek of central Himachal joining Kangra and Kullu valley. This trek starts from bir, which is famous for aero sports mainly hang gliding and para gliding. The first destination after Bir is Rajgundha, 16km from Bir. From Rajgundha it is a level walk up till Palchak Deota with a nice camping ground. Next destination is Panardu which comes after crossing the Thamesar Jot from here one can see exhilarating view of the Kangra valley and glimpses of magnificent peaks in Lahaul and Pir panjal range. From Panardu trail move towards Bara Bhanghal, the inhabitants of which claims themselves to be the descendents of Alexander the Great. From Barabanghal one can go either to Chamba or back to Dharamsala by another route. Another day is spent trailing upwards to Sukha paharh which literally means ' dry mountain' further extending to Lamba paharh meaning ' long mountain'. From lamba paharh we continue our journey to Tentu jot which is camp1 of Hanuman Tibba, a little descend will take us to Beas Kund, the original source of the Beas river. The last day trek is a long descend to Solang valley crossing through Dhundi.
